The course is an introductory to a
working knowledge of ship’s machinery such as, how to differentiate the
construction, the operating principles of two-stroke from four-stroke marine diesel engines, prepare and operate the main engine and the associated auxiliaries for the ship departure from port in accordance establish rules and procedures to ensure safety of operations and avoid pollution of marine environment, monitor and record engine performance including fault detection and action to be taken during operation that consistently meets the requirement.
