This course deals with the application of safety measures in the use of hand tools, machine tools, measuring instrument, demonstrate the appropriate use of oxyacetylene and electric arc welding to ensure precise and accurate operation in the maintenance repair and fabrication works on board ship. This course also includes topics such as safety measures to be taken to ensure safe working environment and for using hand tools, machine tools and measuring instrument. Also included are the actual familiarization in different kinds of machine tools like oxyacetylene, electric arc welding, donning of different personal protective equipment, soldering and brazing. |
